Go-live is just the start
You need to protect your investment. After all, you’ve ploughed a lot of money, time and effort into your new website. It’s taken a lot of work to get the design, information architecture and content all just right. You’ve sweated over the UX, IA, planned out user journeys, defined CTAs and set KPIs, tested all the tagging, done the QA, got management approval and have finally… launched.
But this is no time to sit back and relax. This is when your governance strategy needs to kick in.
By defining and documenting what stakeholders are and are not allowed to do on the new website, you set the rules of engagement. This is what a digital governance framework is all about. Workflows reduce friction, inspire confidence in processes and trust overall. They’re also so useful for those moments when you need to push back – and reward. And remember, your design and editorial style guides are key to all of this. Good governance is important whether you’re a team of two or a team of 200.
