Tamara Warren is Canadian with east coast roots. She studied Fashion Merchandising in Toronto and went on to have an exciting career at some “pretty cool” companies. She worked in the wholesale and luxury retail side of the fashion industry before moving to a company producing Toronto’s first fashion trade week events.
Tamara went on to work for Toronto’s (at the time) luxury shopping centre where she was responsible for marketing strategy, events, sponsorships, CRM, customer service, advertising and PR. Having developed a taste for PR, she did a spell at Canada’s go-to PR agency for cosmetic and fragrance launches.
After following her Swiss husband to Zurich she joined Chevrolet Europe right as it launched into the European market where she worked on the new corporate identity, sponsorship and merchandising. Following the launch, she then took on the huge task of building up a digital marketing centre of excellence for 38 countries.
Over the course of 10 years she led an (admittedly) amazing team through three major website redesigns including General Motor’s first ever responsive websites. She also established GM’s best in class implementation of SiteCatalyst metrics and analytics, including attribution modelling, SEO & PPC, content management and display – not to mention social media and email marketing.
